Black & Blue Salad
April 6, 2014Romano Baked Orange Roughy
April 6, 2014Hamburger coated in mushrooms and gravy sounds just right when it starts getting cold. Once you make your own version of this "frozen food fantasy dish" you won't go back...unless you made this earlier, couldn't eat it all, and then stick it in the freezer for later that is. Also note that without the proper starch sidecar to mop up the excess gravy this meal will just spin around on your plate going nowhere. Don't forget the taters
Mix ground chuck, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and egg; shape into 3 large patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
Cook patties in large skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until browned, about 10 minutes; drain. Add broth, onion, and mushrooms. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer until patties are done, about 15 minutes.
Remove patties; keep warm. Heat onion mixture to boiling. Mix water and cornstarch; stir into onion mixture. Boil and stir 1 minute. Pour over patties.
