Hot Caramel Syrup
June 2, 2015No longer will you need to use packets of soup mix to make a tasty treat at parties with this recipe at hand. It is quick to whip up with just a few ingredients. I favor the "Better than Bullion" paste style over the Bullion cubes. It has an additional roasted flavor and a bit less salt. You can find it next to the cubes and stocks at your supermarket.
½ cup sour cream
1 beef bullion cube or equivalent paste or granules.
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
¼ teaspoon roasted onion powder
⅛ teaspoon roasted garlic powder
1
Add all the ingredients to a small mixing bowl. and mix until well combined.
2
Refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow minced onion to re-hydrate and flavors to meld.
3
Optional: After 30 minuets taste and add salt if necessary. (Most bullion has a ton of salt already so this step is rarely needed.)
