Honey Mustard Dressing
April 6, 2014Whether you want to call it Catalina, Western, French, or Russian this salad dressing by any name is worthy of topping your salad. To make the simplest form of this dressing leave everything out but the ketchup, honey and vinegar. I sometimes do this for a quick sandwich spread or topping.
½ cup honey
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon celery salt
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup vegetable oil
salt and pepper
1
Add honey, ketchup, vinegar, lemon juice, paprika, mustard powder, celery salt, and cayenne pepper to the blender.
2
Turn on blender and slowly add oil in a slow, steady stream until dressing is emulsified.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
3
Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate until needed. Will keep up to one week.
