This recipe is super easy and delicious! If you have some leftover pulled pork, this is the dish for you. But even if you only have chips, pork, and cheese, it's still amazing. Don't let the lack of ingredients stop you from making this yummy dish!
Nachos and cheese are the best finger food for grabbing a bite right off the sheet to snack on during the big game, and you can top them with whatever you want. That might be my favorite part!
Slow cooker pulled pork is amazing in nachos, with shredded cheese, corn, onions, jalapenos, and tomatoes. Cook it all on a cookie sheet or iron skillet in your oven for just a few minutes for an easy baked nachos recipe.
Top it all off with a drizzle of BBQ sauce and ranch dressing and there’s no comparison to how delicious EVERY BITE is!
Here are my recommendations on what skill you can use for your cheese nachos recipe.
On a shoe string: My favorite is to use a quarter size aluminum cookie sheet with parchment paper in the bottom for easy cleanup.
On a budget: For the perfect budget skillet, try this cast iron skillet from Lodge. It’s a reliable cast iron skillet that gets the job done!
The best of the best: This Le Creuset cast iron skillet is the best of the best and makes a great gift. If you’re looking to upgrade your current skillet or give one as a gift, this is the one.
I make my slow cooker pulled pork recipe pretty frequently at home, especially during football season! It’s the easiest way to make shredded pork, and it tastes incredible. In this case, I use BBQ pork, which has a delicious sweet-and-tangy flavor, but you can also make spicy pulled pork or even a deliciously sweet and spicy peach pulled pork. Complete with fresh veggies like corn and onion for nacho toppings, these pulled pork nachos are just delicious!
Best Cheese for Nachos
Shredded cheese is my favorite cheese for nachos! It melts easily and is perfect for making sure you get that cheesy goodness in every bite. For these nachos, use your favorite kind of shredded cheese. I personally like aged vermont chedder cheese to go with the flavors of the pork, but a Mexican blend would work well, too.
Nacho Bar Ideas
At my house, we love the fresh veggie toppings above- but you can use whatever you want for your nacho toppings! Something I like to do when I’m serving a lot of people with different tastes is to bake the nachos, then put the toppings out in bowls for people to pick and choose what they like.
Ultimate Nacho Bar: Top Toppings for the Perfect Nacho Experience
Setting up a nacho bar is an entertaining and delicious way to bring people together. With a variety of toppings to choose from, everyone can create their ideal plate of nachos. In this blog post, we'll explore some must-have toppings that will take your nacho bar to the next level. Mix and match, and create the ultimate nacho experience that will impress your guests!
1. Salsa: No nacho bar is complete without this classic topping. Choose from traditional tomato-based salsas, tangy tomatillo-based options, or go for a spicy kick with a habanero-infused variety.
2. Green onions: Add a pop of color and freshness to your nachos with chopped green onions. They pair well with almost any topping combination and help balance out the richness of other ingredients.
3. Shredded lettuce: A layer of crunchy lettuce adds a refreshing element to your nachos, contrasting nicely with the warm and gooey components on the plate.
4. Olives: For those who enjoy a briny touch, both black and green olives make great additions to your nacho bar.
5. Pico de gallo: This fresh mixture of diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and lime juice adds vibrant flavors that complement the other ingredients beautifully.
6. Beans or refried beans: Offering both black beans and refried beans will cater to different tastes while also providing a hearty, protein-packed base for veggie lovers.
7. Guacamole: Creamy avocado goodness is always welcomed on a plate of nachos. Whip up your own guacamole or purchase a store-bought version to make things easier.
8. Peppers: Add some heat with jalapeños or go for milder options like bell peppers or banana peppers.
9. Shaved Elote: Grilled corn, mixed with mayonnaise, cotija cheese, and spices, adds a unique and flavorful twist to your nachos.
For a winning recipe idea, give pulled pork nachos a try. The combination of tender pork, melted cheese, jalapeños, and onions creates a mouthwatering dish that will have everyone coming back for more. Top it off with a drizzle of sour cream sauce for the ultimate indulgence.
In summary, setting up a nacho bar is both fun and easy, especially with these top-notch toppings at your disposal. Let your creativity run wild and enjoy the perfect nacho experience with family and friends!
