BBQ Spare Ribs
June 8, 2014A creamy buttermilk dressing that has a heavenly dill flavor. Besides salads this goes great with chips, veggies, fries, and wings too. Although the recipe calls for dried spices you are welcome to use fresh if you have them on hand but I wouldn't go out and buy a bunch of herbs just to use this minimal amount. Just remember to add a bit more of the fresh spices if you decide to use them.
⅓ cup buttermilk
⅔ cup mayonnaise
⅔ cup sour cream
¼ teaspoon dill
⅛ teaspoon sugar
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon onion powder
⅛ teaspoon chives
⅛ teaspoon parsley
⅛ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1
Whisk together the buttermilk, mayonnaise, and sour cream in a bowl.
2
Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, chives, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper.
3
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour up to 24 hours before serving. Taste and adjust spices if necessary. If it gets to thick, thin it out with cold water 1 teaspoon at a time.
