For the love of food

Early years

I had an interest in cooking at an early age, even if it was just licking the bowl. I grew up in the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood of Indianapolis. I had the best cooks in the world making the best meals in the world for me. I had my grandmother and both my parents. Eating out wasn’t affordable for the whole family, so we eat most meals at home.Mom was able to make the most ordinary dishes into meals I make today for comfort food, tuna fish casserole, split-pea soup, liver and onions, and birds eyes eggs. My Dad had his chili and coleslaw, Of course, both my grandmothers could make an entire Thanksgiving dinner and desserts singlehandedly.

I was always helping Mom in the kitchen, mostly so I could lick the spoon of course.
I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.
